Join us for the third webinar introducing CLCplus Core: The EAGLE Model
The EAGLE Model is a descriptive approach to land monitoring and the conceptual foundation underpinning CLCplus Core. Developed within the EIONET Action Group on Land monitoring in Europe (EAGLE Group), it supports a shift in European land monitoring from a classification-based to a characterisation-based approach, separating Land Cover Components (LCC) from Land Use Attributes (LUA) and enriching them with Land Characteristics (LCH). This structure allows CLCplus Core to harmonise diverse national and European datasets within a single, consistent repository.
The webinar will introduce the EAGLE concept and its core structure, then it uses a practical example to show how EAGLE acts as a common thematic dictionary. Participants will see how a real dataset can be interpreted through EAGLE and mapped onto its LCC, LUA, and LCH elements.
When
September 15th, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM
Time Zone: Copenhagen, Denmark
The event is open to anyone interested in these specific land cover topics but will be catering to those considering working with the data.
