Vegetation Phenology and Productivity across Scales
On the 4th of November 2026, CLMS will host a webinar focused on the High-Resolution Vegetation Phenology and Productivity (HR-VPP).
HR-VPP is a product suite that supports the monitoring of vegetation’s seasonal cycles and productivity at 10 m resolution using Sentinel-2 imagery. The webinar will present the second generation of HR-VPP and its key improvements. It will also introduce the complementary Medium-Resolution Vegetation Phenology and Productivity (MR-VPP) product suite, which will provide a long-term record at 500 m resolution using MODIS and Sentinel-3 data.
The webinar will cover:
An overview of the CLMS Vegetation Phenology and Productivity products and how the VPP product family has evolved
HR-VPP product suite: vegetation indices, seasonal trajectories and phenology and productivity parameters at 10 m
MR-VPP product suite: a long-term record of more than 25 years at 500 m
How the two products complement each other across spatial and temporal scales
Key methodological improvements
Example applications and a live product demonstration
Data access and product documentation
When
November 4th, from 14:00 to 15:15
Time Zone: Copenhagen, Denmark
The event is open to anyone interested in these specific land cover topics but will be catering to those considering working with the data.
